MENLO PARK (KRON) — A shuttle bus carrying 15 Apple employees caught fire on I-280 near Woodside Wednesday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.
The fire was reported around 6:38 a.m. on southbound I-280 at the Sand Hill Road off-ramp, CHP reported.
The bus was carrying employees from San Francisco to Cupertino when rear left side of the bus caught fire.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire by 7:10 a.m.
No one was injured, according to authorities.
Two lanes of southbound I-280 were blocked off causing traffic to back up past Woodside.
The cause of the fire is unknown, officials said.
No other vehicle was involved in the incident.
The employees were transferred to a different bus following the fire.
