SALINAS (BCN) — A 29-year-old man wanted for multiple burglaries while posing as a PG&E worker was arrested in Salinas on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Ramee Ayesh was identified as a burglary suspect also accused of identity theft and credit card fraud, according to police.
Detectives found Ayesh around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of East Market Street with help from Monterey County sheriff’s deputies, according to police.
He allegedly carried out multiple burglaries in the city while he pretended to be a PG&E employee dressed in a hard hat and reflective vest, police said.
Ayesh was also reportedly seen in a suit during the burglaries, according to police.
The suspect had worked for months as a salesman at MY Nissan and Salinas Valley Ford, two car dealerships off of Auto Center Circle, but was fired before Wednesday’s arrest, police said.
Ayesh allegedly committed fraud by copying customers’ information, according to police.
The 29-year-old man was also found to be a suspect in a pursuit with Fresno police weeks earlier, according to police.
Ayesh has been booked into Monterey County Jail, police said.
