ALAMEDA (KRON) — Police arrested a suspect in the shooting of two employees at an Alameda gas station on Saturday night, police said.
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. at the am/pm station located at 1260 Park St., according to police.
Two male employees were found with gunshot wounds. They were taken to Highland Hospital and are expected to survive.
Valente Blanco-Garcia, 20, was arrested shortly after the shooting after a woman reported a suspicious person in the post office parking lot at 1777 Park Ave.
Blanco-Garcia, a pizza maker, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder.
Blanco-Garcia lives on the same block as the post office, according to police. He is being held in Santa Rita Jail without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
