CONCORD (KRON) — A female victim came forward to speak to police about an alleged sexual battery that occurred on March 9th, 2016 at an Optimized Chiropractic located in Concord, according to police officials Monday.
On Wednesday March 9th, 2016 at 3:54 PM, an Officer of the Concord Police Department spoke with the victim about the suspect identified as Dr. Steve Moon who is allegedly involved in a sexual battery case that happened at 5161 Clayton Road Suite: E, Concord.
According to police officials, the investigation revealed that during a scheduled appointment with Dr. Steven Moon, he recommended massage therapy for the victim and performed the massage himself.
During the treatment, Dr. Moon inappropriately touched the patient with his hands and the victim later reported the incident to the Concord Police Department, according to police officials.
This case was investigated by the Concord Police Department’s Special Victims Unit and presented to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for review.
After reviewing the case, the District Attorney filed one felony count of sexual battery against Dr. Steven Moon and issued a warrant for his arrest.
On Friday April 15th, 2016 at 4:00 PM, Dr. Moon was placed under arrest by the Concord Police Department. Dr. Moon was transported to the Concord Jail, where he was booked and later released when he was able to post bail.
This case is currently under investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
