Two San Francisco police officers were sent to the hospital after a vehicle collision

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) – Two police officers suffered injuries not considered life-threatening when their patrol car was struck by an SUV this evening in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood, a police spokesman said.

The collision occurred at 5:35 p.m. at Evans Avenue and Phelps Street, police spokesman Officer Carlos Manfredi said.

The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene after the collision and cooperated with police.

The injured officers were taken to San Francisco General Hospital, Manfredi said.
