San Jose police surround home, arrest multiple people on warrants

SAN JOSE (BCN) — Multiple people have been arrested on warrants at an East San Jose home officers had surrounded this morning, a police spokesman said.

Officers and a SWAT team were in the area of Capitol and Alum Rock avenues working to secure a home as of 9:35 a.m., police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said.

People who were in the home had left, but police believed one person was still inside, Garcia said.

As of this afternoon, the incident came to a “peaceful resolution” with officers making several arrests and interviewing others, Garcia said.

Patrol cars and a fire truck in front of the home blocked off the roadway. A SWAT vehicle towed a tan sedan out of the property and about 10 bags of items were seen loaded on the windshield of a police car.

Officers escorted two people who were restrained by zip ties around their wrists away from the home.

At least five loud bangs were heard from outside the home this morning.
