ANTIOCH (KRON) — Police are investigating a fatal shooting Monday morning at a Quick Stop in Antioch.
A 27-year-old Antioch woman, identified as Cynthia Flores-Crose, was shot and killed inside the Quick Stop located at 2760 West Tregallas Road at around 7:11 a.m., according to police.
Upon arrival, police found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man, identified as Thomas Payne, a store clerk, was also injured in the shooting. The 27-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital but is told to survive.
A male suspect, 34-year-old Thomas John Williams Jr. of Oakland, was taken into custody a short time later, police said.
“Flores-Crose was in a previous relationship with Suspect-Thomas Williams Jr.,” Lt. Anthony Morefield said in a press release.
The shooting may have been due to a domestic dispute.
Morefield said Williams got into an argument with Flores-Crose outside the Quik Stop before following her into the store and shooting her.
Williams is being charged with murder and attempted murder, police said.
