Update: Man shot and injured by suspect on motorcyle

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — According to San Francisco police, a person on a motorcycle shot and injured a man across from the Phillip Burton Federal Building on Sunday night before fleeing the scene.

The shooting was reported just after 9:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Golden Gate Avenue.

It was stated that the suspect pulled up alongside the 36-year-old victim and they had a brief conversation, according to police.

The suspect then allegedly shot the victim in the buttocks with a handgun before fleeing.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive his injuries, police said.

No suspect was arrested but the description was available this morning. the suspect was riding a black Kawasaki motorcycle, police said.
