Firefighters rescue car crash victim in San Jose

SAN JOSE (KRON) — Firefighters extricated a man from a car after it crashed early Thursday morning in San Jose.

At around 1:15 a.m., firefighters from San Jose Fire Station 9 located near the intersection of Hillsdale and Ross heard a car crash outside their station.

After notifying dispatch, they went to investigate and found a single car rollover with a man trapped inside.

It took firefighters roughly 20 minutes to cut the man out of the vehicle.

He was transported to a nearby trauma center to be treated for significant traumatic injuries.

Police said a report was generated that will be submitted to the DA to charge the person with DUI.
