Man punched, robbed of camera on Treasure Island

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) –On Wednesday morning, a man was attacked and robbed while he was taking photos on San Francisco’s Treasure Island, according to police.

The 68-year-old victim was taking pictures in the area of First Street and Avenue of the Palms when the robbery occurred around 11:20 a.m, according to police.

According to police reports, a suspect in a dark blue Porsche Cayenne got out of the vehicle and approached the victim, punching him and knocking his camera to the ground.

The victim told police officers that the suspect then picked up his camera, tripod, lens and case and fled the area, police said.

The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries No arrest had been made in the case as of this morning, police said.
