Fremont Police locate missing man, reunite him with family

UPDATE: Police said Paw Yaung has been located and is in the process of being reunited with his family.

FREMONT (BCN) — Police are looking for a man who went missing after leaving his Fremont home on Sunday evening, police said.

Paw Yaung, 60, left his home in the 4700 block of Phebe Avenue in the Ardenwood neighborhood at about 5:30 p.m., according to police.

Yaung often uses public transit to go to Hayward or Union City, but has been known to get lost. He needs medication and is considered at-risk.

Yaung is an Asian man standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt with black or blue lettering, red sweatpants and blue rubber slippers the last time he was seen, according to police. He has a scar above his left eyebrow and wears partial dentures.

Anyone who sees Yaung has been asked to call Fremont police at (510) 790-6800.
