SAN JOSE (BCN) — A man fatally stabbed outside a restaurant in East San Jose sometime late Thursday night or early Friday morning has been identified as 23-year-old Juan Sarellano, police said on Monday.
Sarellano was injured in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Story Road around midnight, police said.
Officers had responded to a report of a person who was stabbed and arrived to find the wounded man in the restaurant, according to police.
Sarellano, a San Jose resident, was stabbed at least once and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
An investigation showed he was stabbed in the parking lot and then entered the restaurant, where patrons called 911, according to police.
The suspect, described only as a man who wore dark clothing, left the scene on foot and hasn’t been identified by investigators, police said.
