(KRON) — Former San Francisco Giants ace Tim Lincecum is reportedly close to signing a deal with the Los Angeles Angels. The former Cy Young winner and the Giants were rumored to have interest, but no deal occurred. The Chicago White Sox were also among the teams rumored to land Lincecum.

The 31-year-old pitcher was with the Giants from 2007 to 2015 and a part of the 3 World Series winning teams. He won the Cy Young in 2008 and 2009 and was an All-Star from 2008 to 2011.

The Giants remain with their rotation of Madison Bumgarner, Johnny Cueto, Jeff Samardzija, Jake Peavy, and Matt Cain.

San Francisco is 22-18 and will take on the Padres in San Diego on Tuesday.
