MARTINEZ (KRON) — Firefighters in Martinez were battling a two-alarm structure fire on Tuesday night, firefighters said.
The fire is now under control, firefighters said.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District reported via Twitter at 8:08 p.m. that firefighters were at the scene of a second-alarm structure fire on 213 Midway Drive.
Some of the reasons for calling the second alarm included the hot weather and crews could fatigue more easily. There was also concern for the fire passing to trees surrounding the house.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
