MILLBRAE (KRON) — The body of a missing 27-year-old Millbrae father was found in Sonoma County on May 11, according to the Sonoma County Coroner’s Office.
Deputies found the body of a 27-year-old Keith Green in a field off of Highway 101 near Healdsburg in unincorporated Sonoma County on May 11, according to the Sonoma County Coroner’s Office.
The family of Green wrote the following statement on Facebook on Tuesday:
On behalf of Keith Green’s family and friends, thank you for everyone’s immense support, warm thoughts, and continued prayers. Keith’s body has been found and he is no longer with us. He will forever live on in our memories as a great father, son, brother, and dear friend. Please respect his family and friends’ wishes for privacy at this time. All our love.
Green was last seen at a Millbrae pancake house in April.
He told his roommate he was going to meet someone and left his keys and wallet behind.
When his friends began frantically calling his cell phone, a stranger picked up.
It was a hiker in the Rose Garden at Golden Gate Park. The hiker gave the phone to police, who have been able to access its location data.
KRON reached out to the San Mateo County sheriff’s and coroner’s offices and is waiting to hear back.
