ALAMEDA COUNTY (BCN) — All lanes on westbound Interstate Highway 580 in unincorporated Alameda have reopened after a car fire turned brush fire was extinguished by fire crews, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fire was fire reported at 9:49 p.m. as a vehicle fire, which spread to surrounding vegetation along I-580 at Flynn Road North, Battalion Chief Stephanie Radecke said.
Firefighters limited the spread to 10 acres. No one was injured and no structures were damaged.
The CHP removed the Sig-alert at 12:31 a.m.
