BURLINGAME (KRON) — A man was struck and killed by Caltrain in Burlingame Monday morning, according to Caltrain officials.
Caltrain No. 305 heading northbound hit the pedestrian at around 6:30 a.m. at Oak Grove and California Avenue, said Caltrain officials.
All trains were stopped in both directions in the area as authorities cleared the scene.
Southbound tracks through the incident area have been cleared and will begin single-tracking at 15 mph speed restrictions.
A bus bridge was put into place but has now been cancelled.
Northbound trains No. 323 and 225 are running combination trains out of San Jose.
Caltrain riders should expect train delays of up to 90 minutes.
BART is accepting mutual aid at the Millbrae station, according to officials.
This is Caltrain’s sixth fatality of 2016.
