(KRON) — NASA has released images of one of the closest looks yet at the planet Saturn.
The picture was taken from 1.7 million miles away. NASA officials released the latest photo of Saturn, taken by the Cassini spacecraft.
It shows an angled view of the planet’s rings, which are made of ice, looking toward the sunlit side.
It is the latest release of photos from the joint US, European space, and Italian space agencies.
Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun, right after Jupiter.
