VIDEO: Burglars smash car into Peninsula firearms store, several guns stolen

 

SAN CARLOS (KRON) — San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is looking for clues in smash and grab raid of a firearms store in San Carlos on Sunday morning.

The incident happened at 5:20 a.m. Sunday at the Imbert and Smithers gun store located at 1144 El Camino Real, just south of Brittan Avenue, according to Det. Salvador Zuno.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the gun store on a report of a burglary in progress. Upon their arrival they found the front of store had been smashed in by a black 4 door sedan, Zuno said.

Surveillance footage shows three suspects wearing masks, gloves and hoodies, jumping out of the vehicle and entering the store. The suspects then fled in the vehicle in an unknown direction.

Numerous guns were stolen, Zuno said.
