SANTA ROSA (KRON) — Police arrested a Santa Rosa man on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine after a car chase by police on Monday, according to a police sergeant.
Santa Rosa Police Department received a call reporting a motorist driving recklessly near Santa Rosa and Maple avenues around noon, said Sgt. Dave Linscomb.
The gold Ford Focus was driving through red lights and stopping in the middle of the road, according to the caller.
Police found the car near Bryden Lane and Pacific Avenue, Linscomb said.
The driver, later identified as Jose Manuel Carbera-Infante, 32, was weaving in and out of traffic and drove through red lights and stop signs when police were pursuing him in east Santa Rosa, he said.
Officers found Carbera-Infante’s license was suspended.
Police found an open beer container and methamphetamine when they looked inside the car.
Cabrera-Infante was also arrested for violating several probations from an earlier drug case.
