SANTA ROSA (BCN) — A 23-year-old man was taken to the hospital Monday night after Santa Rosa police found him suffering from stab wounds on a walking path near
Hilliard Comstock Northwest Community Park.
Officers responded to the trail leading between Marlow Road and West Steel Lane at 8:09 p.m. on report of a stabbing.
They found a 23-year-old man who was transported to a hospital with stab wounds to the upper torso that were not considered life-threatening.
The victim told investigators he was attacked by three Hispanic men with bandanas over their faces who ordered him to stop walking and wrestled him to the ground when he refused. One of them pulled a knife and stabbed him before fleeing the scene, according to police.
Police searched the area with assistance from a K-9 team and the sheriff’s helicopter, but were unable to find the suspects.
They were described as men in their early 20s wearing white t-shirts, black pants and black bandanas.
