NAPA (KRON) — A production worker at the BottleRock festival site in Napa was killed in an industrial accident on Tuesday, according to firefighters.
The Napa Fire Department announced via Twitter at 6:43 p.m. that crews had responded to the Napa Valley Expo, which is listed at 575 Third Street.
The BottleRock organizers, Latitude 38 Entertainment, have issued the following statement to KRON.
“At this time an investigation is still ongoing. We are devastated by this news and our hearts go out to the family and friends of the deceased.”
The victim has been identified only as a 35-year-old man working for Top Productions, in Richmond.
Firefighters initially said the worker was injured while dismantling a stage, but later clarified that he’d been breaking down a VIP lounge area.
