Pittsburg man, 22, arrested in connection with $100K Union Square thefts

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — A man was arrested in San Francisco Wednesday in connection with numerous thefts over several months in the Union Square shopping district, according to police.

Police said 22-year-old Kelvin Dale Burton of Pittsburg, was arrested at 11 a.m. on the second floor of the Hall of Justice, for allegedly stealing over $100,000 in designer purses, clothing and accessories.

He was booked on suspicion of several offenses including burglary and grand theft for a March 3 incident, burglary and grand theft that
occurred on April 19, a robbery and burglary from May 17, and a robbery, burglary and assault with pepper spray incident on May 29.

According to police additional suspects associated with these incidents remain outstanding. Anyone with information is encouraged to
