SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — On a night when the Golden State Warriors lacked aggressive offense and shutdown defense to clinch the NBA title in Cleveland Thursday night, Ayesha Curry fired shots of her own at the league and the Cavaliers via social media.
Ayesha, the wife of NBA MVP Stephen Curry, became a Twitter trend after posting a series of critical tweets accusing officials of manipulating the championship series during the Warriors’ lopsided loss to the Cavaliers, 115-101.
“I’ve lost all respect sorry this is absolutely rigged for money… Or ratings in not sure which. I won’t be silent. Just saw it live sry,” she wrote.
Ayesha published the tweet shortly after her hubby fouled out — and then got tossed off the court for throwing his mouthpiece, which hit a fan — with 4:22 to go and his team down by 12 points.
Ayesha quickly deleted her tweet but not before it was captured by followers and re-posted several thousand times.
Before the game, Ayesha posted tweets accusing staff at The Q Arena of not allowing Warriors’ family members to get their seats and making them wait in the team bus until minutes before the game.
“10 mins til game time and the whole teams families are sitting here on a bus. They won’t let us in yet. Interesting tactic though. Again,” she wrote.
