PALO ALTO (KRON)— A 31-year-old woman has been arrested after being accused of throwing a brick at the home of former Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
Paloma Duarte was charged with felony assault and misdemeanor vandalism.
The incident happened on May 9 around 8:40 p.m. when Duarte allegedly rang the doorbell several times.
After no one answered the door, she walked into the backyard and began screaming at someone inside the house.
Duarte reportedly returned the next day and a private security guard saw her get out of her car.
Duarte tried throwing a brick at the house, but it ended up crashing into a car window instead, the security guard said.
The woman allegedly got into her car and reversed into the guard’s car before leaving the scene of the crime. The security guard followed Duarte before police arrived and arrested her.
Jobs’ widow still lives at the home and authorities have not released a possible motive behind the vandalism.
