Girl mugged by 3 suspects in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A girl was mugged by three suspects early Sunday afternoon in San Francisco’s Outer Richmond neighborhood, police said.

Officers responded at 12:09 p.m. to the 700 block of 48th Avenue on a report of the robbery, according to police.

Three suspects came up behind two girls and stole the purse of one of the girls.

The suspects ran to a red car and drove away before officers detained them a short distance away.

The three were arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy. The driver was also arrested on suspicion of speeding and being an unlicensed driver.

Police were able to return the purse and its contents to the girl.
