KNOXVILLE (KRON) — Legendary basketball coach Pat Summitt’s health continues to decline, according to Pastor Chris Stephens. She is expected to pass away in the next few days.

Numerous former players have been to the hospital for prayer and to say goodbye to the 64-year-old.

Summitt was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease in 2011. She ended her coaching career in 2012 after 38 years on the sidelines. She had a career 1,098–208 record.

Stanford and Pat Summitt’s Tennessee Women’s Basketball team have had their fair share of battles throughout the years.

Tennessee beat Stanford 64-48 in the 2008 National Championship Game. Summitt has won the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship eight times during her coaching career.
