Salinas man arrested on suspicion of having drugs for sale

SALINAS (BCN) — A Salinas man was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale and having a fake identification, police said.

Officers arrested 33-year-old Jose Perez at 12:50 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Parkside Street.

Officers arrested Perez in May on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale and Perez did not appear in court on his scheduled court date.

An arrest warrant was issued for Perez and police took him into custody without any trouble, police said.

Officers found about one ounce of methamphetamine, a fake identification and $850 in his vehicle.
