Police search for possible shooter in San Francisco’s Mission District

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police are searching for a possible shooter in San Francisco’s Mission District early Wednesday morning.

At around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, people in a small theater located on 17th and Shotwell Streets heard a commotion outside and then a window to the building break, according to police.

The occupants then thought they heard shots fired, and immediately called 9-1-1 and hid inside the building.

Officers responded and were able to locate the occupants hiding inside and safely bring them outside.

Police said there were no signs of a shooter or shots being fired, however officers were canvassing the area.

No further information is available about the incident.
