PACIFICA (KRON)—A shark attacked a seal right in front of surfers on Sunday morning at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica.
Around 11 a.m., Bruce, Stephanie Ebinger and their three children were at the beach when they saw the shark.
The family was in the water at the time of the shark sighting.
Witnesses say they saw the shark eating a seal.
Captain Joe Spanheimer of the Pacifica Police Department said they received a call about a seal carcass floating in the water about 300 yards from San Pedro Point.
“The caller also saw a fin, but didn’t see an attack,” Spanheimer said.
This is the second shark sighting near Linda Mar Beach within the past week.
A 6-foot shark was spotted on Thursday.
