OAKLAND (KRON) — The U.S. men’s national basketball team is playing an exhibition game Tuesday night at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
This will be the first time Golden State Warriors’ fans will see Kevin Durant in action since he signed with the team.
The national team takes on China in a game scheduled for 7 p.m., with doors opening to the arena 90 minutes prior.
Durant will play along side of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green and former Warrior Harrison Barnes.
The team is preparing for a trip next month to the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Durant, a former National Basketball Association Most Valuable Player award-winner, signed with Golden State this offseason after his Oklahoma City Thunder were eliminated by the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.
The Warriors, led by two-time MVP Stephen Curry, fell just short of back-to-back championships in June when the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated them in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
Curry opted not to participate on the national team as he recovers from a knee injury suffered in the playoffs.
