MLB Star Alex Rodriguez Will Retire on Friday

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — New York Yankees DH Alex Rodriguez has announced that he will retire from MLB this Friday.

The 41-year-old has been in the Majors for 21 years. He is considered one of the best baseball players of all-time.

As of Sunday, he has 696 career home runs and a .295 career batting average.

This season, the veteran is hitting .209 and has 9 home runs and 29 RBI.

Rodriguez is a World Series Champion, three-time American League MVP, 14 time All-Star and has won the Gold Glove twice during his career.

New York will host the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday.
