Firefighters have brought a two-alarm fire at a South San Jose single-family house under control Sunday morning.
The fire was first reported at 6:44 a.m. at 355 Otono Court, according to Fire Capt. Mitch Matlow.
Upon arrival, firefighters received word a person may be inside the home. Firefighters went inside and began searching upstairs, but were unable to locate anyone, Matlow said.
Firefighters then learned the person was not inside and had gone to take their dog for a walk.
No injuries were reported, however, four people, one dog and three cats were displaced, according to Matlow.
A cause for the fire remains under investigation.
