PALO ALTO (KRON)—Tesla unveiled its Model S P100D on Tuesday and it is the fastest production car ever produced because of its new battery operation, according to the company.
The Palo Alto company tweeted about its newest addition.

The Tesla car can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds.
Tesla’s cutting edge battery pack also extends the car’s range about 315 miles. The previous range was 294 miles.
Tesla owners can buy the newest battery pack at a Tesla dealership.
The Model S P100D has four doors and can seat five adults and two children. It also has all-wheel drive and is electrically powered.
The other two cars that have claimed to be the fastest, the LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder, were available for a limited time and cannot be bought brand new.
