SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — They are calling this spyware Pegasus, and it is a nasty one.

KRON’s Tech Reporter Gabe Slate tells us how this spyware works and how to avoid being infected.

It is a nasty one.

This Pegasus spyware, as it is being called, can be installed through a text message that takes advantage of security holes in Apple’s iOS software.

KRON4’s Tech Reporter Gabe Slate talked to mobile security researchers at Lookout who helped discover this spyware.

They showed him how you can keep safe from this and other spyware.
