HILLSBOROUGH (KRON)—Police are looking for a man accused of stealing a package from a home in Hillsborough Sunday afternoon.
It happened at 1:47 p.m. on the 500 block of Remillard Drive, police said.
A neighbor said an overweight Hispanic man wearing a big white T-shirt took the package from the porch.
When officers investigated further, they found some one broke into the home because the side door looked like it had been forced open, police said.
The suspect left in a older black Honda with someone else driving. The car was last seen heading toward Ralston Avenue.
Police say they think the suspect is the same person who knocked on the door of a home on the 1300 block of San Raymundo Road.
The man asked the homeowner if he had seen his dog, police said. When the owner said no, the man walked away.
The homeowner said he thought it was suspicious, so he took a picture of the man.
The suspect was seen wearing a white T-shirt, red pants and a red hat.
Anyone who saw the car or the suspect in the area are asked to call (650) 375-7470.
