HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KRON) — A 5.6-magnitude earthquake has been reported in Humboldt County near Ferndale, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake struck Friday night at around 8:27 p.m. It had a depth of 1.34 miles (2.1 kilometers). It hit about 64 miles off the coast, the USGS said.
The quake could be felt in Eureka.
