Two groups exchange gunfire at a Salinas shopping center

SALINAS (BCN) — A group of three people and two others exchanged gunfire this afternoon in Salinas, police said.

People started calling police at about 1:56 p.m. to report shots fired at Bardin Road and Dennis Avenue.

The group of three people was in a shopping center parking lot when two others came out of a Chevrolet Malibu and confronted them, according to police.

The two groups exchanged shots at each other and fled. No one has reported being injured.

Witnesses told police the Chevrolet may be dark gray in color with tinted taillights and black-rimmed tires, police said.
