OAKLAND (KRON) — An overturned truck shut down the connector from westbound I-580 to westbound I-80 in Oakland, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The truck overturned spilling diesel onto the highway early Monday morning.
The connector was closed as crews cleaned up the spill. They also had to perform an emergency guard rail repair.
The traffic was being diverted to eastbound I-80. Traffic heading to San Francisco had to go through Emeryville then over to the Bay Bridge.
All lanes were opened by 6:15 a.m.
