SAN JOSE (KRON) — San Jose State’s student body vice president has been arrested for domestic violence, university spokeswoman Pat Harris has confirmed to KRON4.
Police said 23-year-old Joshua Romero was taken into custody at the university’s Event Center on Thursday night during a concert. Security officers saw the incident between him and a date at the YG concert, police said.
San Jose State police said officers saw Romero not letting a woman leave. The altercation started after an argument, police said.
The victim is a 20-year-old San Jose State student, according to police.
Romero was booked for false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery.
An emergency restraining order was issued against Romero.
Romero is a political science major, according to his bio.
No other information has been made available by police.
