OAKLAND (KRON) — A 22-year-old woman fell through a skylight on top of a warehouse during a performance at Hiero Day on Monday, according to Battalion Chief Zoraida Diaz.
Fire crews were dispatched to Third and Filbert Streets in Oakland at around 5:20 p.m.
Diaz said the woman fell 20 to 25 feet. Upon arrival, the victim was being treated by EMT cadets provided by the event coordinators.
“The OPD, the Oakland Police Department, and our security company had asked people to step down and not be there,” said event operations manager Khari Bailey.
Crews aided in transferring the victim to an ambulance and to a local hospital.
Diaz said she was conscious and talking while she was being treated by EMT cadets.
Her current condition is not known at this time.
