SAN JOSE (KRON)—Firefighters are working to put out a two-alarm fire at a four-unit residential building in San Jose Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 1:15 p.m. on the 5900 block of Fig Grove Court, according to the San Jose Fire Department.
Crews found both floors of a middle unit of the building were on fire, the department said.
The fire then upgraded to two alarms and the fire was put out around 1:30 p.m.
Firefighters were able to contain the flames where they started and firewalls inside the building were able to stop the fire from spreading, firefighters said.
Residents in nearby units were evacuated.
Six residents have been displaced. The American Red Cross was called to help them.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
