Police arrest man for having a shotgun and two outstanding warrants

SAN MATEO (KRON)–San Mateo police arrested a 23-year-old man Wednesday morning after finding a firearm inside his car.

Around 3:30 a.m. police pulled over a Chrysler for several code violations on Hillsdale Blvd and Highway 101.

Officers found the driver, 23-year-old Nicholas Devine, has two outstanding warrants for his arrest including one for possessing a firearm.

Police searched Devine’s car after his arrest. They found a loaded shotgun hidden near the driver’s seat.

Devine was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for possessing a loaded firearm and the two warrants.
