SAN JOSE (KRON) — The hunt for the suspects in connection with the brutal assault on an 88-year-old woman continues on Wednesday.
Florence “Flo Douglas,” the devout 88-year-old, known also for her love of hats, rarely missed a Sunday service at St. Pail’s Baptist Church where the congregation is praying for her recovery.
Douglas was robbed and beaten in a home invasion robbery at her residence on Cragmont Avenue where sheriff’s detectives are again canvassing the neighborhood for new leads.
After visiting Douglas in the hospital, neighbor Phyllis Silva says her good friend is in tough shape.
Silva said this is a good neighborhood but others suspect the perpetrators may be gang members who targeted the elderly woman, stealing jewelry from her person.
At the nearby salon where Douglas worked for many years, Joan Morrow demanded Justice for her long time co-worker.
