SANTA CLARA (KRON)—Former San Francisco 49ers center Fred Quillan died on Monday at the age of 60, according to the football team.
Quillan was a two-time Super Bowl champion and played on the Niners for ten seasons.
He played on the team between 1978 to 1987.
Quillan was picked to play for the Niners during the seventh round of the 1978 NFL Draft.
He was part of the 49ers when the team won the Super Bowl in 1981 and 1984.
Quillan is from Portland, OR.
He went to University of Oregon where he was named All-West Coast center in 1976 when he was a junior.
