Overnight FBI raid at Menlo Park home

MENLO PARK (KRON) — Authorities served a search warrant at a Menlo Park home early Thursday morning and it has been deemed uninhabitable, police said.

Menlo Park and East Palo Alto Police, with the help of an FBI SWAT Team, executed a search warrant in the 1300 block of Sevier Drive at around 4:55 a.m.

Police believe the house is connected to possible gang activity.

They are looking for weapons possibly connected to a shooting in East Palo Alto that happened two weeks ago.

After authorities searched the home, they found several building code violations which made the home unsafe like illegally modified gas and electrical systems.

Several people have been detained and arrested, according to KRON4’s Will Tran.

The scene is now secure, according to police.

Police say there is no danger to the public.
