EMERYVILLE (KRON)—Two teenagers have been arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a woman with a stroller and then stealing another woman’s cell phone in Emeryville Tuesday night.
The crime was reported at 5:30 p.m. happened on the corner of 66th and Vallejo streets.
A woman was with her 8-month-old child when three teenagers demanded she give them her phone, police said.
The woman screamed and kicked the one of them in the groin and screamed. The three teenagers then left the scene.
Around 7 p.m., officers responded to a robbery matching the description of a suspect from the crime that happened earlier.
Three teenagers came up to a woman and took her phone out of her hand, then ran off, police said.
An officer spotted three suspects near the Bay Street mall. The suspects left, but police were able to catch two of them.
A 14-year-old and a 15-year-old were taken to juvenile hall on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy.
Police said they found the cell phone of the second woman inside a suspect’s backpack, police said.
