Marin County fire is 60 percent contained

MARIN COUNTY (KRON)— Crews are starting to get the upper hand on a ten-acre fire reported in Marin County Sunday afternoon.

The fire is now 60 percent contained.

It was reported around 4:27 p.m. near Camp Tamarancho, a Boy Scout camp just outside of Fairfax.

No structures are threatened and no injuries have been reported.

The Marin County Fire Department says the fire has stopped, but it has not yet been contained.

Ninety-three people are on the scene and helicopters are being used to fight the flames.

No evacuations have been ordered.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The fire is expected to be put out by Monday morning.
