Surveillance video captures three suspects involve in a residential burglary in Palo Alto

PALO ALTO (KRON) — Three burglars were captured by a surveillance video system as they crept into an unoccupied home in Palo Alto, Wednesday night.

According to police, the residential burglary occurred around 9:40 p.m. in the 1700 block on Channing Drive. Officers were not notified of the incident until Thursday, September 15.

The owner of the house, a male victim in his forties, returned home to find that it had been ransacked. The item that was stolen was a single tablet computer in the kitchen.

Police said, the home was unoccupied throughout the night but the owner caught all three suspects through surveillance video.

The owner of the surveillance video provided the footage to the Palo Alto Police department, and police are releasing the video in hoping to capture the suspects.

In the video the three suspects were seen shattering the glass door, crawling through the kitchen, pulling out drawers and ransacking the home. They were described wearing identical sweatshirts, which have a light-colored “B” printed over a black circle on the back. They are all believed to be male.

The suspects are still at large, and the investigation is still ongoing.

Police encourage anyone who may have seen the suspects, or have information on this investigation to call the Palo Alto Police Department.
