VIDEO: Lockdown lifted at Morgan Hill school after police activity nearby

MORGAN HILL (KRON) — The Charter School of Morgan Hill has lifted a lockdown Wednesday after police activity was going on nearby, school officials told KRON4.

The San Jose Police Department responded to a report of someone hearing gunshots on the 9500 block of Monterey Road.

The school located at 9530 Monterey Road was put on lockdown at 10:15 a.m. as a precaution.

Physical education classes and recess were held indoors while the lockdown was in place.

About 640 students attend the kindergarten through eighth grade charter school.

Students were allowed to leave the campus around 1:30 p.m. and parents were allowed to pick them up from school.

San Jose police cleared the scene around 3 p.m.

No injuries were reported and no suspects have been identified.

Monterey Road is now open in both directions after being shut down.
